TEXTFLOW - Replacement for text in applet

This element is also available in our updated HTML 4 reference. Some characteristics may have changed.

Appearance: [<TEXTFLOW>] [</TEXTFLOW>]
Attributes: None.
Contents: TT, I, B, U, STRIKE, BIG, SMALL, SUB, SUP, EM, STRONG, DFN, CODE, SAMP, KBD, VAR, CITE, A, APPLET, IMG, FONT, BASEFONT, BR, MAP, INPUT, SELECT, TEXTAREA and plain text.
May occur in: APPLET.

This element was introduced mainly to make the APPLET element legal. It should contain the alternative text which should be displayed if the applet cannot be executed. As it's optional, you may also put the text directly inside the APPLET tag instead.

In the latest version of HTML 3.2, this element was dropped.
